THE CONCEPT…
We’re Tom Tassone & Rob Singraber. A couple of golf junkies who were looking for more when it came to a golf-life balance. This is our story.
We started this journey in 2018 out of necessity as we were trying to find local tournaments to play in and realized that everything our state association offered was geared toward lower handicaps (<4.8). Other Am tournaments that we played in took ALL day or even a few days, which wasn’t ideal as we both worked full time and had families. We then looked into other golf leagues, but we didn’t want to play the same course each week.
We were on the hunt for something that offered competitive play and schedule flexibility, but our search came up unsuccessful. It was then we decided to turn our passion into something more, and the start of Chicago Golf Tour became a reality.
We’ve created a unique format by taking elements of one day tournaments, league play, the PGA Tour, a member-guest and coupling those with schedule flexibility. By giving members the ability to play competitive golf on their time, when it’s convenient for them, is an absolute game changer! The format & schedule flexibility have been extremely successful amongst golfers who don't necessarily have the time to play in one day tournaments, but are looking for more when it comes to playing in a golf league.
We’ve made golf leagues cool again by redefining the way they’re being offered.
HOW IT STARTED…
In 2019 the South Side Tour was launched. By 2020, we had over 175 members.
WE CONTINUED TO GROW…
In 2021 we expanded with a North and West Side Tour and rebranded under the Chicago Golf Tour. We exploded with over 600+ members collectively amongst the three tours. Today, the tours are capped at 150 per tour to ensure proper management.
