How it works:
Draw
Players are sorted into 8 groups of 4 (per region) by handicap so each group has a mix of abilities.
Group stage
Each player plays the other three in their group (3 guaranteed matches)
A win earns 3 points, a halved match 1, and a loss 0. The winning margin also counts, like goal difference in soccer: winning 3&2 gives you +3 and your opponent −3. If players finish level on points, the tie is broken by their head-to-head result, then hole differential, then holes up in wins, then total wins.
Advancing
The top 2 in each group advance, so 48 total players reach bracket play. Third and fourth place from each group are eliminated.
Seeding and byes
The 24 group winners are ranked against each other by their group record and seeded 1–24. The 24 runners-up are ranked the same way and seeded 25–48. The 16 best group winners receive a bye.
Bracket Play
Opening round: seeds 17–48 play. The 16 winners advance.
Round of 32: those 16 winners meet the 16 bye players.
Round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final follow as a normal bracket.
Knockout matches can’t be halved; players go to extra holes until someone wins.

Players have 9 weeks to get in their 3 matches at any 18 hole course mutually agreed upon. Net hole scores will be used to determine match winners.
